Illinois State Bar Association ("ISBA") President-Elect Mark Hassakis appoints Peter LaSorsa to serve as Vice-Chair of the 2010-2011 Standing Committee on Legal Technology. In making the appointment Mark said "congratulations on your vice-chair appointment; thank you for all you do for our ISBA. I see your name often and know you have good market penetration in what you do. Keep up the great work." The Standing Committee on Legal Technology is comprised of top attorneys from around the state and advises the ISBA on technology issues. Pete has been a member of the Standing Committee on Legal Technology since 2006.

Peter LaSorsa is a moderator for Tips of the Trade: A Federal Civil Practice Seminar, sponsored by the Illinois State Bar Associations Federal Civil Practice Section and co-sponsored by the Seventh Circuit Bar Association. The seminar had 30 federal judges who spoke on a variety of current topics. The seminar was held at the Standard Club in Chicago and was sold out.

Pete spoke on a variety of topics.

The destinations include Malta, Italy, France and Spain. Pete lectured on the food and wine of Italy, the history of the roman empire, the History of Malta and the area of Cannes, France. Pete is a member of Norwegian University and speaks aboard several of their cruiseships. Pete is seen here in Sorrento Italy.

Pete was also joined on a panel discussion by Kenneth Vercammen of New Jersey, Pauline Weaver of California and Brian Hermanson of Oklahoma. Brian represented Terry Nichols in his State trial over the Oklahoma city bombing.

Peter LaSorsa is sworn in at the United States Supreme Court in Washington D.C. with a group of 50 members of the Illinois State Bar Association. ISBA President Jack Carey requested the group be admitted and Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court John Roberts affirms the admission. A private reception was held with personal congratulations provided by Supreme Court Justices Ginsberg and Stevens. Justice Stevens received a bronze of Abraham Lincoln at the reception.
