So many times I get calls from potential clients asking for a second opinion on a case. This can be a tricky situation as the potential client may already have an attorney. However, the client has a legal right to a second opinion about their case. Just like if you are diagnosed with an illness and course of treatment, you may wish to get a second medical opinion-the same applies in the legal field.

If you believe you need a second opinion on your case be willing to pay an hourly rate for the opinion. This will require the attorney reviewing your entire file and making a recommendation based on that. One can’t give advice on a case with only a quick phone call.
